Today, we’re taking a look at another projector, the AURZEN Boom 3. Currently priced just under $500, this projector offers some notable features. Firstly, it comes with built-in 36W speakers, making it versatile as a Bluetooth speaker as well. Additionally, it boasts Dolby audio support.
One convenient aspect of the AURZEN Boom 3 is its built-in apps, including Netflix, Prime Video, YouTube, and more. This eliminates the need for external streaming devices, streamlining the setup process. Autofocus and 6D Keystone correction further enhance the viewing experience, allowing for adjustments from six different directions at angles of up to plus or minus 45°.

Next, you’ll select your preferred language and fine-tune the Keystone correction if necessary, though mine was already quite accurate out of the box.
Connecting to your Wi-Fi network allows access to the built-in apps, adding versatility to your entertainment options. Navigating the home screen reveals familiar app shortcuts, resembling those found on other streaming devices.

From the moment I powered it on, I was struck by the crispness of the image, the richness of the colors, and the depth of contrast. It delivers impressive details with vibrant hues, making every scene come to life.
During my testing, I connected my iPad to gauge the clarity and sharpness of the display, and I was thoroughly impressed. Text appeared razor-sharp, making the projector suitable for presentations or any task requiring clear, legible text. Additionally, I delved into gaming, playing titles like Asphalt 9 with my Xbox controller via Bluetooth. The experience was smooth and responsive, with minimal lag or delay. While primarily a 1080p projector, I experimented with 4K resolution using my Chromecast with Google TV, achieving impressive results. However, it’s worth noting that 4K resolution isn’t universally supported, as evidenced by its limitation with the Xbox Series X, which capped out at 1080p. Despite this, the AURZEN Boom 3 continues to excel in delivering stunning visuals that exceed expectations.
Sound quality
The AURZEN Boom 3 doesn’t disappoint when it comes to audio performance. As expected, the speakers deliver a rich, full-bodied sound that’s both loud and clear. Surprisingly, I found that I didn’t need to crank up the volume past 25% to enjoy a satisfying audio experience. What’s more, the projector boasts impressive bass, a feature that’s often lacking in more affordable models. Just keep in mind that the actual sound quality is even better in person, surpassing that of many other projectors I’ve tested.
To further tailor your audio experience, the projector offers a range of audio modes, including Standard, Vivid, Movies, Music, News, and Sport. These modes allow you to adjust the sound to suit your preferences, whether you’re watching movies, listening to music, or catching up on the latest news.
In terms of connectivity, the AURZEN Boom 3 doubles as a Bluetooth speaker, allowing you to wirelessly stream music from your smartphone or other compatible devices. Furthermore, it supports screen mirroring on iPhone and MacBook, making it easy to share content and enhance productivity.
