With a diagonal measurement of slightly over 16 inches, this laptop is not designed for easy transportation. Weighing around 2.9kg, it can be quite heavy to carry, especially considering its accompanying 330W charging brick, which weighs close to 1.2kg on its own. It’s important to note that this laptop is not ideal for users who need a highly portable device to carry around all day, as it is both large and heavy.

In terms of design, the Dell G16 2023 features a construction primarily made of hard plastic. While the build quality is sturdy and reliable, the finish may not have the same premium feel as some higher-end laptops. The hinge mechanism is robust, keeping the screen in position securely, regardless of the angle you choose. This adds to the overall durability of the laptop.

The laptop’s deck is quite spacious, accommodating a 60% keyboard layout. The keys offer a good spring action and a firm feel when pressed, resulting in a satisfying typing experience. Performance

The Dell G16 2023 impresses with its high-performance capabilities, led by the powerful Intel Core i7-13650HX processor. In benchmark tests like Cinebench R23, the laptop achieved a multicore score of around 15848 and a single-core score of around 1747. This showcases the CPU’s exceptional performance, making it well-suited for demanding tasks such as video editing, gaming, and streaming on platforms like YouTube and Twitch. Furthermore, the thermal performance of the laptop remains solid, as it sustains performance even during intensive tests, with only minor drops in overall scores. Notably, these tests were conducted during summer with ambient temperatures reaching the low 40°C range.

Moving on to the GPU, the Nvidia GeForce RTX 4060 delivers excellent performance.
